The purpose of the MICHIGAN ALLIANCE FOR FAIR COMPETITION "MAFC", as a coalition of association, organizations, companies and individuals, is to ensure that independent businesses are not competitively disadvantaged by unfair or anticompetitive business practices of regulated utility companies.

The MAFC will pursue state regulatory, legislative, executive and judicial actions to address utility business practices.
